The Big Youth Commission Beach Clean

The Youth Commission is teaming up with The Clean Earth Trust for a big beach clean! 

Come join us this Sunday at 11am if you are:

- a young person looking to do your bit for the environment and keep our beaches squeaky clean

- a parent looking to tire out your children's legs whilst doing something active, fun and useful

- a participant in The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award (this counts towards your volunteering section!)

Before we get going, The Clean Earth Trust will talk volunteering and we will learn what washes up on our beaches from local beachcombing extraordinaire, Janet Unitt, and see some of her weird and wonderful Beachcombing Finds.... 

Afterwards, we will sort through our own beachcombing finds, with a prize for the most weird and wonderful piece of litter found! 

Let’s meet at Grandes Rocques beach on Sunday 20th of February at 11am and do our bit for one of our beautiful beaches. Beach cleaning equipment will be provided.
